Schools in Liberia are sub-standard, and teachers/faculties are not properly trained. This is due to a lack of funding from public and private sectors. This has a direct impact/effect on the students not being able to read/write and excel in other subjects like math and science; leaving them unable to sustain and continue the cycle of poverty. In short, students are not being taught at a higher and/or competitive level to be successful. By providing adequate education (formal, vocational, and practical skills) our students will be well-equipped and ready to participate economically, which will raise them out of poverty. Upwards of ninety percent of the population lacks proper education; this is true globally for developing countries, especially female students.
