Our innovation is an elementary to secondary school project - Africa Future Academy (AFA).
Compared to other existing alternatives, AFA will handsomely compensate its instructors to
keep them focused on the job. Most instructors are burnt out because they are not being well
compensated; therefore, the standard practice is to teach at multiple schools just so they can
earn enough to take care of their families. Also, AFA will provide a reliable means of
transportation for their students. This would help the parents who are unable to provide the
cost of public transportation. Compared to existing alternatives, there are times when
students would not show up to school because their parents couldn’t afford to pay for
transportation. Students missing time away from class has contributed to their inability to
comprehend what is being taught, which has led to their poor testing scores. With AFA
providing transportation for students, and well-compensating its instructors, students would
have every chance to thrive in their education.
