Empowering the future through education for all....
Six years ago (2019), I went to my native country Liberia for a short visit. While there, I observed several underprivileged children in the streets lacking the opportunity to obtain quality education and good healthcare. Their parents could not afford to send them to school.
Children were dying due to the poor healthcare system in the country. Healthcare providers would not see a patient without the payment for the care. Even if that illness would cost them their lives. If the individual or families didn’t have the funds, they won’t be seen. Kids were losing their lives over minor outpatient illnesses. Seeing these things, I became devastated and hurt.
Some of the many challenges faced by the children in Liberia are:
- Child Labor - Children are forced to work to support their families. They are unable to attend school due to the lack of financial stability, perpetuating a cycle of poverty and disadvantage.
- Lacked limited access to education - Families struggling with necessities may prioritize immediate survival over education, leading to children being forced into labor instead of attending school. While those kids who families can afford are in school, those underprivilege kids are selling in the streets. Over 54 percent of the people in the country are living in poverty.
- Limited access to early childhood learning - Only a small percentage of pre-schools have access to early childhood learning programs.
- High dropout rate - A very large number of children dropped out of school before completing primary education. The government is not investing in the education system. Private schools' cost is significantly expensive. Therefore, as the prices increase, those families who could no longer afford, would pull their children out of school.
- Child protection issues - Liberia faced challenges in protecting children from violence, drug abuse, and exploitation. Some of the kids are just not doing anything. Therefore, they are wandering in the streets being expose to drugs, and other crimes. Being vulnerable, they are easily taken advantage of.
- Poverty - Many families live in poverty, which includes access to basic needs like food, clothes, water, and sanitation. In Liberia, 45% of children between the ages of 6-14 are not in school. Only about 55% of children completed primary education.
*Healthcare challenges*
In Liberia, underprivileged families faced significant challenges that include:
Malnutrition, teenage pregnancy and unhuman healthcare ethics.
There's a very high number of children under the age of 5 years that are malnourished.
My heart hurts to see those kids without hope and future.
After my visit to Liberia, I returned to the USA with a different mindset. We usually don’t understand how things are outside of our bubble. I was devastated to know that those kids had no hope or future. If nothing is done, their lives would just be like that. Uneducated generation with a cycle of poverty. I discussed my findings with my wife, and my desire to make an impact. She is a nurse. We both decided to establish a school and a clinic in Monrovia, Liberia, to help the underprivileged. This is our own way of giving back to our country and its people.
We bought land and started the building project. Presently, the elementary building is at a casting level. Knowing how expensive the project is, we are reaching out to donors and well-wishers, to kindly join us in this endeavor to save lives and make an impact.
We have created a non-profit organization. Whatever you donate can be a tax write off.
Please help to give a child hope and a brighter future.
If you would like to know more, please don’t hesitate to contact us.

Please help to make this vision a reality. Make tax write off donations ........
